Crafting and Construction Tutorial

This is a beginner tutorial for harvesting resources, construction and crafting in Dont Die.

When you first start playing Dont Die you're likely going to want to craft a weapon, or some tools. to do this you're going to need to collect some wood.

First, find some trees. Luckily they are pretty much everywhere. After you've found a tree, you can interact with it.

Start by facing the tree, you can do this by hovering your mouse on top of it, or having the mouse near its general direction.
Then press the space bar to interact.
Note: Make sure you're standing close enough to activate it!

After activating the tree you'll be presented with the option to "Chop Down" or "Gather from". Since you don't have a hatchet yet, you'll want to press "Gather from" the tree. Wood and Leaves will be automatically placed into your inventory after gathering. If you're lucky you may also find some fruit or a seed this way.

Next construct a workbench, to build a workbench requires 5x Wood, so make sure you gather from a few trees until you have enough.

To start construction, Open the construction menu, the green button on the bottom left side of the screen. You can either click the button or press the " C " key to open it.

Next select "Workbench" from the menu.

After selecting workbench you will be prompted to confirm construction as well as listed the materials required to build it.

Once you accept the option, you will be able to freely place your workbench anywhere you want, left clicking anywhere will set it down.
Note: Make sure you place your workbench on solid ground, or else you may lose it!

From here you can interact with the workbench the same way you interacted with the trees, by facing it and pressing space bar, then selecting the "Crafting" option. 
Wooden weapons will all require 1x Wood to build.

To build a hatchet you'll need to gather 1x Stone in addition to wood. You can collect stone the same way as gathering wood, by collecting from boulders found throughout the world.

Once you have the materials, simply click the "Stone Hatchet" option at the workbench, and accept. The hatchet will be placed in your inventory. You can use it to chop down trees without needing to equip it. You can also build a Stone pickaxe to assist in mining.
