Dont Die 6.0 Update


New equipment slot, New spell, more maps. 

Features:

  • Added a "Back" equipment slot
  • Added leather backpacks
  • Added leather capes
  • Wizards and outlaws will sometimes wear backpacks
  • Hunter origin now starts with a leather backpack
  • Increased the starting Hitpoints of the Retired Guard, Blind Samurai and Outlaw origins
  • Added immortality notes to the default origin, giving some guidance to the player
  • Added Toxic Fog spell
  • Changed how the fire burst spell works, now hitting multiple enemies
  • Several spells now buffed to scale with total magic level
  • Added 14 new forest maps
  • Desert pyramid expanded, with a larger main room with treasures, enemies and traps
  • You can now melt metal items down for materials at the forge
  • Added snails and snail meat
  • Added a jester outfit to the kings court
  • Improved the design of basic peasant clothing
  • Fishing rods can now be equipped as a weapon, and used to pull objects around

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug causing a few items to respawn infinitely in a barrel
  • Killing a naked Homunculus Golem no longer causes an error


That's it for this release, it's been a while I know.
Last time I laid out a list of various reworks and expansions I planned on doing and I had hoped somebody might let me know which of them seemed most promising or interesting, but sadly no feedback.

I think I'm going to post this devlog on twitter and a couple discord servers, in hopes to get some fresh eyes looking at my project. But it's hard to develop when you're not sure what people are actually doing when they play.
So I suppose starting now, I'm going to take yet another hiatus from development until I get some kind of feedback.
